In 2018 we founded Cambridge Healthcare Innovations to develop high performance, novel inhalation technologies to deliver new molecules to the lung. Our current interests focus around the future of inhaled medicine, and we are building a strong team and capabilities to design, develop and test devices that will provide the performance and consistency that is required for these new molecules.Our dry powder inhaler (DPI) technologies are purposefully designed to be as inclusive as possible. Patients with compromised lung function - who would typically be prescribed a pressurised metered dose inhaler (pMDI) with a holding chamber (spacer) - will be able to use our DPIs as effectively as patients with perfectly healthy lung function. This is is something that the industry and patients desperately need. The current state of affairs in which decades-old technology is repurposed to deliver new, state-of-the-art molecules does very little to improve things - particularly for the patient. We're changing that...
