As a founder, technologist, and life-long learner, I have dedicated my career to transforming, building, and delivering. I am passionate about computer science, cybersecurity, software, cloud-scale, automation, data, economics, and the human brain. I earned an undergraduate degree is in information systems and a graduate degree in information security, where I focused research on identity in trustless environments and cryptography. I hold active certifications in security, cloud architecture, operations, and scale.My community involvements include establishing and sponsoring the Nashville AWS User Group, as well as teaching and coaching both students and fellow entrepreneurs. I have served as a professor of computer science at Lipscomb University, helped advise and design graduate courses on security and undergraduate courses in computer science and information technology, and mentored students both at university and code schools.After Tektronix acquired Initial State, a company I founded, I was asked to serve on the executive team of Tektronix as the CIO. I currently use my cybersecurity expertise combined with my industry technology building expertise and leadership skills at Tetronix to transform enterprise technology with a focus on customer innovation and software agility. In Dec 2023 I expanded my role within Tektronix to serve as the Vice President at the executive level over Test Automation Services and Software Solutions.A serial entrepreneur, I have founded two venture-backed companies and two founder-funded companies. I have also consulted, advised, or served as a board member for nearly a dozen venture-backed tech startups, leveraging my expertise in leadership, technology and service monetization strategy, software and development operations, product strategy, technology-enabled value delivery models (like SaaS), cybersecurity, analytics and blockchain across the health care, IoT, mobile, financial, and entertainment industries.
