A creative, resourceful, and experienced tech-savvy online educator and curriculum developer with significant experience in LMS administration and multimedia design. He has a longstanding concern for the effective alignment of course objectives and assessments with program and institutional outcomes, a scholarly passion for the effective use of multimedia and instructional technology in online instruction, including dialogic learning in teaching, skill at communicating complex technical processes and challenges in an effective and positive way, and experience managing and migrating multiple LMS platforms. Swisher has been in higher education for 21 years, the vast majority of which was in classroom technology and/or developing high-quality online courses with multimedia and technology integrations, and he has held leadership roles with the regional Colleague 2 Colleague organization as Chair, Vice-Chair, Steering Committee, and several ad hoc committees, including by-laws revision, website, and communications.
