In my current role, I regularly provide expertise in the planning, development, and delivery of high-quality learning experiences, serve as an Instructional Designer on course development projects, provide collaborative leadership in Learning eXperience Design (LXD) for academic programs, and work with the Dean of Online Campus Library Services and LXD Director to deploy OER effectively through an Immersive Learning Initiative. I also serve as the Lead ID for Cybersecurity, IT Management, and the AS/BS in Ministry Leadership, and have been integrally involved in developing experiential learning for ministry training and competency-based education for IWU's pilot of CBE. I'm an early adopter in VR & metaverse-based learning, and am currently doing research and developing training for faculty on effectively utilizing generative AI in the classroom.

Wichita, Kansas Area

I was hired to develop and deploy the college's online program, overseeing the transition to Tabor Online on the Wichita campus in Summer 2011. Working closely with the marketing team, network staff, and CIO, I managed the implementation process, coordinated technical aspects, developed branding and standards, configured the LMS, prepared faculty training, and developed the Online Orientation. I also oversaw the migration from Moodle to Canvas in 2014-2015, all remotely. My primary roles involved administering the LMS, resolving issues, developing training & orientation resources, and helping the faculty develop quality online courses, and Instructional Designer as well as multimedia and integrated technology coordination (TurnItIn, publisher textbook integrations, LTI, multimedia development, etc.). I also taught on-site, hybrid, and online courses as an adjunct instructor in Christian Ministries undergrad and the Ministry Entrepreneurship & Innovation masters program. My role continued to expand in my last several years to include coordinating SiS integration (along with updates and policy/code revisions to include the traditional campus), serving on the lead team for implementing a new ERP, being part of the Administrative Management Team for VP-level transitions and interim leadership, advising C-suite leaders, and ultimately overseeing all learning-related technologies that integrated with the LMS,

(1) Provided training & support for faculty and staff in the creation and effective integration of digital media;(2) Utilized instructional design and prepared multimedia for conversion to distance learning, hybrid, and online course formats; (3) Prepared web-based instruction;(4) Served as the LMS Coordinator ("instance manager") for the Salina campus’ instance of K-State's self-developed course management system,(5) Provided classroom technology expertise (installation, maintenance, forecasting, support, & training) and leadership in resource adoption.

Division of Continuing Education – Program Marketing & Development section (Manhattan campus(1) Designed conference and course listing brochures & flyers, newspaper/journal ads, and more; updated and periodically revamped previous years' promotional materials,(2) Wrote and edited press releases, brochure & marketing copy, articles, and Web content as needed; worked with Dean's office and Marketing & Media Relations for quality review and proofreading,(3) Assisted in development of promotion and marketing strategies for offerings (credit and non-credit courses, conferences, & distance education opportunities), in consultation with program coordinators,(4) Worked with web programmers to revamp look, architecture, and navigation of Division of Continuing Education website and design conference-specific landing pages; prepared digital art for posting,(5) Coordinated production of printed pieces and promotional materials through K-State Printing Services,(6) Advised program coordinators and staff on printing options (possibilities & limitations) and graphics formats (advantages & limitations); trained student staff; and educated coordinators,(7) Arranged mailings and clarified bulk mail permit specifications; Researched potential marketing areas & mail lists.

(1) Prepared camera-ready art and digital files (concept, layout, and copy) for press production and consulted with press technician(s) regarding issues, limitations, and workarounds,(2) Assisted in all pre-press and bindery areas as well as customer service, ordering, and estimating,(3) Advised clients regarding advantages/disadvantages of various production methods, layout options, press capabilities, paper and ink selection, and cost-effective design alternatives,(4) Coordinated jobs requiring outside vendors (such as business cards, labels, process color, etc.)ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Was initially hired to assist owner in turning around this declining printshop's overall profitability (from $0.5 million/year losses to $1 million+ gain). Streamlined workflow and efficiency and developed systems for digital archival. Led transition from traditional paste-up to all-digital format.

(1) Developed concepts for promotional and identity materials for new church launch (letterhead, logo, envelopes, business cards, brochures, response devices, etc.); designed and produced the materials.(2) Designed and coordinated production of all advertising materials and signage.(3) Coordinated (and often wrote) most media publicity, including press releases and targeted ads.(4) Implemented all publicity, marketing, and leadership training materials for fledgling congregation.(5) Set up video display system and sound system and created occasional video for worship.ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Surveys conducted in community revealed that after 2 years on-site, 3 out of 5 people (60%) had heard of the new church and most held a favorable view.

Designed and produced brochures, newsletters, response devices, flyers, direct mailpieces, booklets, company identity ensembles, sales & promotional materials, and other projects.Coordinated all aspects from concept development to production, including copy writing, print brokering and outsourcing, client and vendor relations, project management, and more.
