I have a degree in Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology with First Class Honours, and am currently undertaking my PhD project at Curtin University which focuses on screening natural products for coronavirus entry inhibitors.I was awarded a place on Curtin's Vice Chancellor's list, which recognises the top 1% of graduates across all disciplines, four years in a row between 2019 and 2021. I also have been the recipient of multiple research scholarships in the past few years including the Curtin University Helmerhorst Summer Research Scholarship in 2019 and the Australian Society for Microbiology Summer Vacation Scholarship in 2020.I'm passionate about science, and have industry experience at PathWest and the Curtin Health Innovation Research Institute. I am qualified to work in a PC2 laboratory environment, and I am trained in biomedical science techniques including molecular cloning, microbial assays, tissue culture, and fluorescent microscopy.
