David joined dhk in 2002, and was appointed as Associate 2005 and later Associate Director in 2013, leading teams on a diverse portfolio of work. Key clients included Balwin Properties, Rawson Developers, Corevest, Delaire Graff Estate and Zenprop. His role included all contractual, technical and design aspects of various projects from appointment, design, documentation, site attendance and project close out, including principal agency where applicable. Responsibilities also covered project resource and financial planning and management, and active involvement in the strategic management of the practice, as well as leading the sustainability portfolio. Special interests and skills included working with a business process consultant to develop and implement management tools to optimise business processes, and leading teams on architectural green star certifications, most notably the Portside office tower for FirstRand and Old Mutual.
