Developed resort wide guest services training for all staff to develop better relations with our customers and understanding by our staff of our real job - keeping guests happy. In early 2002, I presented the GM of Gore Mountain with a proposal and plan for the position of Mountain Services Manager as a way to incorporate all the guest centered business units in one group. In September of 2002 I accepted the new position that was created as a result of this proposal. During my tenure at Gore Mountain we saw an increase in sales in our Ski School, Childrens Ski School, Nursery and Group Sales.

I started the NY office and began the process of building this business for VIP. After the tragedy of 9/11, all I.T. consulting contracts were put on hold by then Governor Pataki. This put VIP in an impossible position and the corporation decided to close the NY office until such a time as the opportunity to do business in NY was again available.

ESR ( Empire State Report) was a trade publisher and conference management company. I started with ESR when sales had been flat for 5 years and proceeded to increase sales over the next 2 years by 35%. I also added new publishing products to our mix to provide more advertising revenue to the company. In 1996 I took over as Publisher and CEO and continued the growth of the company until such time as it was sold ( as a profitable company) to a new group of investors. This group had a larger publishing operation and consolidated ESR under their umbrella.
