As an Architect, I don't only design buildings; I design experiences for people. I've been trained to think in multiple-dimensions. These training made me a 3D native in a digital industry that's learning to think that way for the first time with the rise of the Metaverse. An innovator with cross-discipline expertise in Architecture, BIM, Training Simulation, Gaming and VR / AR industries, I bring an unique experience to this new challenge.In 2015, I began my journey down the XR rabbit hole, transferring my experience design expertise to the virtual reality world. A curious hacker at heart, I learned Unity and coding through youtube and google. I hacked till it worked.My passion is to explore innovative XR experiences, allowing people to experience something surreal. For example, what if I can fly in the sky as a Dragon? or as Ironman? You can experience that in my award-winning indie VR game, BattleSky VR.I believe XR technology will transform how people learn and play. Since 2018, I've led a team to rapidly prototype ways to utilize XR to train in different fields, be it Transportation, Military, or Fire Safety. In 2021, I joined HTC Viverse and led the product team to innovate products and platforms to build up new business models in the Metaverse.In 2024, I founded HyperCreative Games to focus on innovative and immersive XR experiences for players of all ages. Our first game, BubblePop! Rock Paper Scissors, explore hand tracking and hand gesture recognition as the only means of user interface.A proven leader, I have built studios from the ground-up across multiple domains in different countries, and have driven teams of designers, programmers and artists to develop and deliver projects from concept through launch, with a track record of delivering award-winning projects and winning VR Hackathons.I grew up in Taiwan and Canada and received my architecture degree in the US. The game was released on Steam, Viveport and multiple LBE VR Arcades around the globe, with positive reviews. Prototyped and iterated multiple locomotion systems for walking, flying, and climbing. The game used 3 different types of flying locomotion, with less than 5% of users reported motion sickness.Single-handedly programmed (c#) the game using Unity 3D, with features such as multiplayer (photon Network), SteamVR, GameSparks player management. Artwork was outsourced.Engaged in frequent user feedback at various exhibitions, conferences and online beta-testing through out the development process for agile rapid iteration to continually evolve the game.
