Responsible for all matters ex-China, specifically NetEase's global investments, partnerships, and growing portfolio of studios in North America, Europe, and Japan. Former general counsel for WarnerMedia's global direct-to-consumer business and also head of M&A / Corporate team. Oversaw launch of HBO Max globally in over 60 countries and managed team that closed the WarnerMedia x Discovery merger to form what is now known as Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ: WBD).Previously, led three dynamic media and technology companies from start-up through successful exits. Has also held executive roles for industry leaders in music, sports, and cable. Began practice at the law firm of Irell & Manella LLP specializing in corporate and intellectual property transactions. David has received industry and academy recognition in recent years including General Counsel of the Year by the Los Angeles Business Journal, Leadership in Technology by the National Bar Association, and Adjunct Faculty of the Year by the USC Law School.
