Liases with General Officer Headquarters’ on Battalion operations, actions, and activities. Advises and coordinates with civilian agencies to include Department of State on matters pertaining to Special Warfare.

Commander of a 12-man SF Detachment responsible for conducting Special Operations activities around the world, to include Direct Action, Special Reconnaissance, Foreign Internal Defense, and Unconventional Warfare. Advises and assists foreign military units up to Battalion size. Counsels conventional military officers at the Field Grade and General Officer level on applications of Special Warfare. Deployed to Afghanistan, Japan, Korea, and Thailand in this role.

Responsible for coordinating all training activities and resources for an 816 man Battalion. Prepares and supervises the execution of events for three Rifle Companies, a Headquarters Company, and a Forward Support Company. Publishes orders and products to synchronize all elements subordinate to the Battalion. Coordinates with the Brigade HQ in order to ensure the accomplishment of higher HQ taskings.

173Rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), Vicenza, Italy

Second in command of a 145-man element conducting combat operations in Afghanistan. Primarily responsible for the readiness of personnel and equipment. Coordinates with external entities to ensure the Company is supported logistically and responsible for the maintenance of $5 million worth of equipment.

173Rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), Camp Ederle, Vicenza, Italy

Responsible for the tactical employment of a 40-man element in support of contingency operations. Plans and supervises training in accordance with combat requirements. Accountable for equipment in excess of $1 million.
