In this role I waa responsible for rolling out the new platform in the APAC region. This includes:- Project management and commissioning of trial sites through cooperation with Weir's aftermarket and original equipment sales teams. Graduate Engineer for Weir Minerals Australia. During this role I was exposed to various areas of the business, broadening my engineering skill set. My graduate roles were:- Technical support engineer with hands on site experience,- New product development including R&D, troubleshooting and pilot project installations on mine sites (Condition monitoring),- Marketing secondment to Weir Minerals Netherlands,- New product development including business development and marketing (Condition monitoring).

The UNSW Co-op program is an industry sponsored scholarship program where students complete industrial training placements during their degree. In addition to the experience gained through exposure to industry scholars also gain professional and leadership development through workshops and training courses. During my degree my scholarship was funded by News Limited, Rheem Australia, Weir Minerals and Sydney Water and I completed a total of 68 weeks of industrial training with these companies.

Worked as an undergraduate SCADA engineer in the SCADA Standards and Technology team for 24 weeks. During my time at Sydney Water I was involved in developing and maintain the SCADA systems in place at Sydney Water. I was also able to lead and contribute to small projects where available, such as the technical audit of a specific piece of equipment.

Worked as a Product Configuration Officer as part of the UNSW Co-op Scholarship program, focusing on streamlining specific processes used to configure orders for pumping products. During my time at Weir I developed a software tool to automate a previously manual process as well as helping to further develop an online software to improve its capabilities, aiming to automate an inefficient process.

Completed a 10 week internship with the Operations department at the manufacturing plant for Rheem Australia. I contributed to various projects going on with the process improvement of the manufacturing plant as well as working on a retrofit design to a specific process aiming to reduce the overall cost of production. In addition to the work done on projects I was also able to utilise my engineering drawing skills by creating drawings on Autocad for various work colleagues.

Chullora Print Site

Completed a 10 week internship at News Limited’s print site in Chullora. Working with the Continuous Improvement team I completed an 8 week investigation to assess and investigate into the damage caused to machinery by a certain material used in the wrapping process and suggested ways to resolve the problem.
