My practice begins with drafting construction contracts including, requests for proposals, design contracts, design-build contracts, construction manager contracts and many other types of project documents. In drafting these documents, the focus is always on the minimization or control of risk factors to protect the success of the project for all parties. From there, my practice extends into project performance, working with clients to ensure contractual compliance and avoid or resolve claims during the course of the project. While that typically resolves any issues that come up, my practice also extends to litigation, where I regularly represent owners, general contractors, design-builders and subcontractors in state and federal litigation, arbitration, mediation, and direct claim negotiations on both public and private construction projects. In addition to working with members of the construction industry, I am regularly involved in varied litigation matters for both business and personal clients, including claims for non-payment and/or the breach of service contracts, lease disputes, enforcement of real estate agreements, insurance claims on behalf of policy holders, uniform commercial code disputes, wage and hour claims, and non-competition claims.Specialties: Complex commercial litigation in addition to construction industry experience with wastewater collection and treatment facilities, highway and tunnel construction, and vertical (building) construction work.
Listed skills include Commercial Litigation, Litigation, Arbitration, Mediation, and 10 others.
