By talking to the customers and helping them define the research question, the challenge becomes to combine these analytical techniques to get the complete picture of the molecular structure of the polymer. I was involved with many different tasks, such as installing our AFM systems and providing customer training, as well as live demonstrations and measurements for customers. Additionally I would visit several conferences a year to present our developments. Work included lecturing, teaching and research. I developed and taught a very popular confocal laser scanning microscopy course for students. The research was focused on improvement of the biological performance of biomaterials by micro/nanostructuring and/or chemical modification of the surface.

The research was focused on innovating the materials used for masks in soft lithography / microcontact printing. Part of this work was conducted at ETH Zürich.
