About David T.
With ~25 years of experience, I have seen quite a bit in IT. While I continue to be an IT generalist at heart and have decades of varied experience across the board; I have specific core competencies with Microsoft Windows, multiple flavors of Linux Operating Systems, VMware vSphere/vCenter, and Microsoft Azure. Throughout my career I have held different roles from PC Technician, and frontline field engineer roles in the beginning of my career, to Senior level Systems Administrator/System Engineer in recent years. I am proud to say that I have been the primary Administrator, Engineer, and SME for On-Premise VMWare, Hybrid, and Cloud environments on more than one team. I am proficient with automation tools like PowerShell, and I continue to have a thirst for more virtualization, automation, and AI technology knowledge. I have multiple IT certifications and currently continue to pursue more in the Azure space. My objective is to have such a deep and well-rounded knowledge base, that there is virtually no tech stack I am unable to understand. In my career to date, I have been blessed and fortunate to have had such exposure to a wide array of Hardware, Software, and proprietary systems. Across almost 3 decades, that’s a long list to try to name, but some highlights would include Cisco UCS, ESXi, Dell, HP, and proprietary NCR technology.I enjoy the process and inherent growth that comes with taking on new challenges, and I believe my character and integrity shine through in my work. I believe the people that have been in the trenches with me, generally seem to want me on their team, and I pride myself on my passion for technology, coupled with my people skills. I have been told I have natural leadership, and an ability to find creative solutions for new issues; and I think it’s my tenacity and perseverance that can distinguish me from the pack.You can usually find me learning new tech, or head-down in a project. When I'm not engaged in those ways, my favorite ways to spend my time are with my family, or playing my favorite sports: Hockey and Golf.
