David helped to create and has overseen the success of the first brewpub to open in the District of Columbia. The first location opened in August 1992 and now includes two locations.. Capitol City Brewing Company operates one of the largest brewpubs in the region with its production facility in Shirlington, Virginia producing over 3,00 barrels each year.

VIDA Fitness is a high-end full-service fitness concept where a member can work on his/her body, mind and spirit to achieve a fuller and more balanced life. David opened VIDA Fitness at the Verizon Center in August 2006. VIIDA now operates in six locations (Verizon Center, Logan Circle, in the Renaissance Hotel, City Vista, U Street and the Navy Yards.Aura Spa, a full-service day spa, is located in four of the six locations, including the newest location at the Navy Yards.In 2011, Vida Fitness opened its newest concept, Penthouse Pool and Lounge. An immediate success, Penthouse continues the evolution and advancement of the VIDA Fitness brand.

Bang teamed up with VIDA Fitness and opened its second location at the Verizon Center in August 2006 and its third location in Logan Circle in October 2008. The fourth location in the Washington Navy Yards opened in August 2014
