I joined the international company Hyphen as a Senior Architect, to work on the Data Center Department. I am currently working on the technical development of a Data Center in Portugal (BIM), on stage 4, with an area of 22.000 m2, 18.000 m2 Data Center + Technical buildings (€130 millions). The project is under construction.I work as a technical coordinator within the Hyphen architecture team and deal with MEP / Structures / Fire engineers, organize workshops to discuss project issues and act as the main contact for all the suppliers involved. In addition to this, I lead client presentations with UK clients and the main contractor, and coordinate with subcontractors on Stage 5. I am also leading the construction support team within the project and company, specially for detailing and regulation compliance checking. I am responsible for the development of specifications (UK structure), reviewing different solutions with suppliers/manufacturers and giving support to all the project team members. Finally, I´m also carrying out the review of shopdrawings for construction and reviewing site issues.

I have been working on key projects in AFK, mainly on large and complex Commercial and Residential projects. I have focused on construction Stages 4 and 5, which has enabled me to develop not only my understanding of the construction industry, but also a wide range of technical skills that together with my passion for construction gave me the strong background I have today.I have worked on different projects and packages, developing technical design, coordinating with main contractors, sub-contractors and consultants, compliance-checking building regulations, site inspections and reports and leading client meetings, always taking the responsibility with minimal supervision.Working on award winning high end projects such as 80 Charlotte Street and 22 Hanover Square has allowed me to understand all phases widely, solving complex issues and ensuring all the design and technical requirements have been implemented.I also helped the BIM Managers and supported the teams through all the process, to make sure we worked in the most efficient way.Projects:- Park & Sayer. I joined this Engineering firm in Spain, based also in South America. I had the opportunity to be involved in key projects within the educational sector, working closely with Colombian teams and collaborating remotely from the Spanish office.Thanks to my knowledge acquired through both my degrees in Building Engineering and Architecture I was able to take on different roles starting from supporting the Project leader to finally be fully responsible for leading the structural calculations and supervising the quality of the construction drawings. This experience allowed me to work independently while managing a team of 3 architectural assistants, and gave me a full understanding of the complexity of the building structure and its importance to create design solutions which anticipate construction issues.My key responsibility was implementing the design intention while meeting the high requirements of the building regulations for earthquake structural resistance in Colombia, as well as designing, calculating concrete and steel structures and developing construction details.Projects:• Nuevo Chile Institute of Education. Assessment of Ancient Masonry slender towers under Seismic LoadingI worked with a research team to develop architectural drawings and analyse the structural behaviour of Almohad towers for the preservation of this architecture.

As part of an university traineeship at ETSAS, I had the opportunity to follow closely the construction of a big school extension in Seville, with the renowned international construction firm Ferrovial. The new building comprises an area of 20,000 sqm, including 3 levels of parking, gym, classrooms and rooftop.I attended phases such as foundations, structure, brick walls and MEP services along with the construction supervisor. I could acquire an enormous knowledge of all the process, from materials supervision on site to coordination of multiple sub-contractors.

- Health and Safety project of Residential block:I carried out the Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Report, for the prevention of risks during construction- Health and Safety project of San Agustín Convent Refurbishment:I developed the Asbestos Demolition Report and the construction drawings for the new roof of the building, including structural calculation, detailing, Health and Safety Risk Assessment and asbestos removal process.

- Courtyard House:I assisted supervising the construction of a courtyard house in Cáceres, including dealing with the client and contractor, during various stages such as foundations, drainage, structure, walls and roof.
