My foundation in technology and legal strategy was derived from advising CEOs, COOs and CTOs, as well as public and private boards, on an array of legal, technology, strategic and operational issues for over two decades. A significant amount of my experience was accumulated as General Counsel for Intergraph (Hexagon) Corporation - operating in over 60 countries. One of my most significant achievements for Intergraph, was the development and deployment of Intergraph's global intellectual property licensing and litigation strategy, which resulted in successful recoveries from Intel, Dell, HP, IBM, Texas Instruments and others -- with $1 Billion in royalties. In recent years, I expanded my experience and capabilities into the burgeoning biotech industry as general counsel for a laboratory software company and as a member of the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology foundation board.I apply my experience and capabilities to technology related compliance matters, including international trade, export control, anti-bribery, privacy and special security requirements. In doing so, I assist with the development and implementation of international compliance programs, as well as the harmonization of U.S., U.K. and European regulations. I have also maintained DoD clearance, for advising clients on special U.S. secret needs.I am admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (U.S. patent appeals), 11th Circuit, Alabama, Georgia and Texas - and litigated cases throughout the U.S., U.K. and Europe. Based upon my multijurisdictional experience, I have developed associations with renowned legal counsel worldwide – critical to providing real time multijurisdictional protection of trade secrets and other intellectual property.
