Choral Director
Current• Directs the high school choral program, consisting of multiple choirs, including Concert Choir, Madrigal Choir, Eagle Choir, Jazz Choir, and Pop/Show Choir• Directs the program in over 50 performances throughout the school year, including school concerts, school performances, festivals, tours, and community performances• Directs the program’s annual Madrigal Dinner event• Serves as Vocal Director for the school’s annual musical theatre productions• Directed ensembles that received Superior ratings at the CMEA Golden Empire Music Festival (2011—Student Teacher, 2014–2019)• Teaches a tiered system of music theory and sight-singing to all choir students• Facilitates student participation in California Music Educators Association and American Choral Director’s Association Honor Choirs• Plans and executes a variety of fundraising and leadership initiatives within the program• Implements an articulation and outreach program to increase district enrollment and participation in choir• Serves on the school’s Leadership Team (2019–Present)• Served as Lead Choir Teacher for the San Juan Unified District (2013–2016)• Created and currently teaching the Music Appreciation curriculum for the high school, including keyboard and guitar skills as well asmusic history
