Technology Design Architect (Rbs)Company85 Jun 2011 - Oct 2011London, GbWorking on a multi year, £MM programme centered around Oracle EBS, Oracle Exadata and M series as a mid tier through RBS partners (2E2 and Company85) In a planned short term engagement, I provided support and drive in a number of areas using a small team of specialists as the programme moved through high level and into detailed levels of technology design where Oracle and RBS components needed integration.Initiatives included improving requirements specification, identification of potential critical path design activities - driving conversation around these areas, validation of Oracle hardware configurations and partner BoM and collaboration with Oracle and RBS build teams to 'provide the glue' in a number of areas such as WAN capacity, backup requirements and Oracle H/W network and environmental requirements, where specification was a little light.I also undertook a review of initial NFR and advised both business owner and technology leads on a number of opportunities that should be taken to more clearly specify technology parameters and to smooth the detailed designs and builds that were commencing. In support of the RBS Principal Architects I also worked on initiatives around testing and PCI-DSS compliance, an area requiring significant design consideration.The programme is ongoing. -
