With more than 40 years' experience in the automotive industry, I was appointed as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) New Zealand Board Chairman. I remain the imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association (VIA) Chief Executive.ITS encompasses the emerging technologies of autonomous vehicles (AVs), shared mobility and mobility as a service (MaaS), as well as the technology systems and infrastructure that help monitor, manage and collected data across all transport modes.With my extensive governance experience, my key role will be to drive the organisation’s commitment to advocate for transport technology solutions which save lives and make transport more sustainable and efficient. I am very pleased to lead this exciting organisation. My experience in governance, and understanding of the vehicle supply chain, complements the other board members, which represent the varied aspects of the ITS eco-system. A disruption of transport is underway, led by innovators creating solutions designed to enhance the experience of transport users and operators.

I've invested in all kinds of properties over the last 30 years - residential, commercial and light industrial both here in New Zealand and overseas. Over this time I've used a few property managers. I know what makes a terrific property manager. Previously I've been entrusted to look after car dealers' money in fidelity funds.In June 2010, my wife Mary and I purchased the Quinovic Parnell franchise which is part of the Quinovic Group. Given my experience and interest in property, this seemed to be a natural progression. We have both built Quinovic Parnell up to be the very successful branch that it is today. We have taken great care to select a terrific team of staff.With over 30 branches, Quinovic are specialists in residential property management. We have a proven track record for enabling investors to gain better returns, and protect the value of their portfolios. We're also recognised for the strength of our systems and processes.I manage the trust account at Quinovic Parnell, ensure our entire team provides exceptional customer service, I chair our weekly meetings and manage strategic relationships.When not working I enjoy adventure motorcycling on my BMW R1200 GS. In 2010 I returned to the local community and joined the Parnell Community Trust Board the same year. In 2013 I was appointed Chair of the Board.It was the high calibre of the Parnell Trust, its standing in the community, and the high regard Auckland Council holds it in which impressed me.The Trust is a not-for-profit organisation. It provides invaluable community services to the Parnell and wider communities.

As active member of thsi very succesful business networking group, I have served two terms as the Education Co-ordinator, and have regularly been the best-performing member, based on BNI performance criteria.

The Imported Motor Vehicle Indusry Association (IMVIA) is the business assocation that represents the interests of the used vehicle import industry. Members include international export agents, shipping and logistics companies, ports, inspection agencies, importers, wholesalers and retailers. The association was established in 1988, and works closely with government departments and agencis in the development and implementaion of standards and procedures to ensure that Kiwis have access to,safe, environmentally friendly vehicles at the most competititive prices.
