Creatively motivated but also highly organised, my ethos is all about turning the everyday into something remarkable on screen. This approach has garnered numerous awards and has taken me from Dubai to the Arctic making films that get noticed, ever mindful of budgets, deadlines and client expectations and always with an uncompromising attention to detail. I've directed drama for BBC Scotland, Scottish Screen, the UK Film Council and Screen South alongside numerous independent productions in the UK and USA. My debut short was runner-up in the BBC New Filmmakers Award and my films have screened at festivals the world over, including Sundance, Berlin, London, New York, Stockholm and Toronto. My first film ‘Sixty Cups of Coffee’ won Best Short at Santa Monica Film Festival and my next, ‘All Over Brazil’ won the audience award at Newport Beach Film Festival and The Panavision Award.
