I have worked within what is now Hill Dickinson LLP for over 40 years. I was most recently appointed Head of the Marine and Trade Group having previously served as Chairman since 1st May 2011. I first joined Hill Dickinson & Co in 1976 as an articled clerk qualifying as a solicitor in 1978. I was made partner of the firm in 1982 and have held a succession of management positions within the firm, including Head of Marine Division 1994 - 1998, Managing Partner 1998 – 2005, Head of Manchester Office 2006 – 2009 and Head of Business Services Division 2009 - 2011.Throughout my time with Hill Dickinson and particularly over the last 20 years I have been involved in a rapidly changing business in terms both of scale and the markets which it serves. In addition to the consequent change management challenges, successfully adapting to the significant developments of the relevant regulatory regimes especially in relation to our expanding overseas network of offices has been a major priority.I have more than 30 years' experience of advising clients in relation to legal services with a focus on the marine sector.
