My experience has led me to focus on a product’s life cycle, how a product is produced and how it is received by the customer. I can be placed at any point of the design process and excel with knowledge in industrial design, sourcing, packaging engineering, cost analysis, international travel and business, branding and client relations. Utilizing more sustainable production methods and materials is on the forefront of my mind when creating solutions for customers.

Catering ChefBlue Ribbon Cooking Culinary Center Jun 2016 - Aug 2018Seattle, Washington, United StatesAs a catering chef, I would work through out the week to ensure that food was prepped for the various types of events that weekend. This meant ensuring that the culinary team had everything they needed to flawlessly and easily put out meals for 50 to 500 people. I would par-cook food, gather and prepare garnishes and organize the tools needed for corporate gatherings, weddings, private lunches and parties. During the day of the event, I would manage my team to ensure everything was cooked to specification, all necessary plateware, utensils and tools are packed, setting up and organizing the off-site kitchen, food is beautifully plated and then facilitate the tear down and cleaning of the event space. -
Packaging & Display DesignerLawrence Paper Company Jan 2014 - Jul 2015Lawrence, Kansas AreaAs a Packaging and Display Designer for Lawrence Paper Company, I would work with various customers to get an understanding of what they were looking for. A Solidworks/Keyshot rendering was the first step in making sure that the customer was getting what they wanted. From there, I would start to actually engineer how the medium would be scored and cut so that it could be manufactured inexpensively while still creating a quality packaging/display solution. Using a Kongsberg CNC table, I would prototype the design, and after rigorous testing, would eventually land on the final design. I would then create the art, using Photoshop and Illustrator, and apply this to the dielines. We would ship this final mock-up to the customer to make sure that it met all their needs and see the design through production. -
Packaging Design InternLawrence Paper Company Feb 2012 - Jan 2014Lawrence, Kansas AreaI was responsible for running a Kongsberg CNC table, to produce first articles for testing before mass production, and a Mutoh Large Format printer to create appearance models of simple packaging and complex displays. My role quickly grew as they saw my work ethic and observed my desire for more. I learned Impact Packaging Software and started creating my own packaging solutions for production. I would use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create or edit art that customers wanted to use for initial appearance models or for mass production.
