About David W Chadwick

I have over 20 years experience in identity management and authorization systems. I was a Professor of Information Systems Security at the University of Kent until February 2020, when I left to become the full time CEO of Verifiable Credentials Ltd. (I still retain my Emeritus Professor chair at Kent.)I am an Invited expert to W3C Verifiable Claims working group and a co-author of W3C recommendation "Verifiable Credentials Data Model 1.0". I am the UK BSI expert to ISO/ITU-T X.500 meetings and ISO mobile driving licenses. I am a contributor to DIF Presentation Exchange, and OpenID Connect 4 Verifiable Presentations.I founded TrueTrust Ltd in 1997, to provide consultancy in X.500, LDAP, PKI and IAM. I founded Verifiable Credentials Ltd in 2019, to evangelize and commercialize W3C Verifiable Credentials.In May 2021 Verifiable Credentials Ltd was acquired by Crossword Cybersecurity PLC and from May 21 to April 23 I was Product Director and then R&D Director for Identiproof (TM), the Verifiable Credentials product suite that we developed at VCL.
