Consultant performing build and release engineering process improvements. Migrated the ClearCase environment to a centralized architecture and eliminated 16 servers while increasing performance. Used Build Forge to implement process improvements that significantly reduced build times, increased build reliability, and produced build metrics.

Consultant working on the ClearCase conversion from RCS and Visual Source Safe for a 150+ person development organization working on various UNIX platforms and Windows NT. Responsible for all technical issues supporting a 7 target platform/single source build environment for the mechanical CAD application. Projects included porting to the IBM RS6000/AIX platform, converting to ANSI compilers on all target platforms, and implementing shared libraries to reduce the executable size, decrease the swap space requirements and shorten the application startup time. Published a document to all engineering describing how to debug with shared libraries to improve debugging/bug fixing turnaround. As a Senior Software Engineer, I was responsible for the development, test, documentation and manufacturing of the AutoCAD device driver supporting Pixelworks series of high resolution bus master graphics controllers (1280x1024x256 Colors) for PC’s. The drivers included “C/Assembler” based Terminate-Stay-Resident DOS drivers for AutoCAD 10, dynamically loaded DOS386 drivers for AutoCAD 10 Protected Mode and AutoCAD 11, as well as SCO Xenix device drivers for AutoCAD 10. The software drivers were often reviewed and written up in Catalyst magazine. I represented Pixelworks at many of the trade shows to demonstrate and sell the products and traveled internationally for technical sales support.

As a Senior Software Engineer, I designed and developed the user interface for the company’s silicon wafer automation handling system. I traveled internationally for trade show support and to customer sites for system installations.

As a Software Engineer, I worked in the Mechanical CAD graphics group supporting both graphic display devices and hardcopy output devices. I worked on the company’s first port from it’s proprietary hardware to Sun Microsystems UNIX workstations.
