PACKAGER/FINISHERResponsible for all aspects of packaging finished goods for shipment to customers and resolving customer shipping issues in a timely manner. Ensure adequate inventory levels of packaging supplies.Inspect rolls for physical roll damage, damaged and/or pulling cores, proper product labeling, and pallet integrity prior to shipping.Create safe pallet layouts for transport according to best practice and customer requirements. Prepare Packing Lists, Bill of Lading, and Certifications in computer system for shipping.MATERIALS HANDLER – SLITTING/RAW MATERIALSResponsible for traffic of materials from work in progress (WIP), slitting and shipping departments using fork truck, roll clamp and core dumper. Inventory management of stock finished goods and WIP materials. Communicate with production to ensure adequate supply of stock finished goods and WIP materials to meet customer orders. Maintain updated inventory layout for easy access. Enter WIP stock into computer inventory and reconcile counts weekly.Inspect finished rolls to ensure customer satisfaction and assist with packaging, as necessary, to ensure timely delivery to customer.Assist slitter operators with product change overs.MATERIALS HANDLER - LAMINATINGResponsible for traffic of raw materials from storage to laminators using fork truck, mixing adhesive as needed for customer orders, and assisting Shipping/Receiving as necessary.Communicate with laminator operators and production to confirm daily production schedule and ensure appropriate raw materials are delivered in a timely manner. Monitor laminator production to ensure timely transport of finished rolls to WIP stock location.Assist with staging of raw materials for production and assist laminator operators with product change overs.

SLITTER OPERATORResponsible for safe operation of slitter to accurately slit/trim WIP to length and width according to customer requirements. Entered production into computer in a timely manner. Consistently met or exceeded daily production goals. Maintained a safe and clean work area. Responsible for cleaning slitter machine as necessary.Responsible for troubleshooting and correcting material problems as they occur. Responsible for detecting audible, visual, and tactile defects and communicating defects to Supervisor. Supervised slitter helper activities to maintain adequate production pace.SLITTER HELPERResponsible for assisting the slitter operator with machine operation, production, quality control, and packaging finished goods. Responsible for transportation of WIP and finished product using fork truck. Assisted operator with shafting cores and making splices and visual inspection of finished product for defects.
