Our vision is that every child in foster care is cared for. We want the emotional needs of each of the 440,000 children in care to be understood and systematically addressed so healing occurs and these children are ready for the next stage of life. We develop and implement great ideas that improve each community’s network of care, state level policies, and child well-being for the children living in foster care. Our approach is to develop partnership in each community with organizations and individuals interested in these three target areas, provide our partners necessary tools for success, and measure impact. Finally, we invite partners into a larger, national network for mutual learning.

All entrepreneurs want to create value. For most, this is financial value to the shareholder. For a social impact entrepreneur, this is value to a specific population whose inherent rights are marginalized. The entrepreneur designs and implements a solution. The solution contains collaboration, is meaningful, and is sustainable.I teach entrepreneurs the perspective of the the social impact entrepreneur, to inform their own work in a new way.

Placed children into loving homes and provided ongoing support to the families. Largely for children in foster care coming from multiple placements. Added a behavior specialist program for children needing additional support.

Directed new approaches for improving early childhood outcomes. Most proud of co-leading the effort to bring Nurse-Family Partnership into the community, re-establishing the Perry Preschool Project to improve teacher-parent interaction, and helping the faith community champion early childhood initiatives.
