Over 30 years of experience in planning, design and program management worldwide with a focus on mission critical facilities that includes data centers, co-generation plants, geothermal and alternative fuel plants. Expertise also includes skill sets for managing and optimizing projects from financial/business objectives as well incorporating the latest best practices and emerging technologies into mission critical projects. Successfully applied knowledge and experience to develop numerous patents and to author national standards for Fortune 500 companies. For over twenty years served as Chairman and CEO of an Engineering/Architectural Firm with a staff that included 130 professionals. Have also served as a Calpine Senior Vice President with overall responsibility for the CPower and WRMS Engineering business units. Responsibilities included on-site generation power plant development, strategic planning, product and new technologies development, and financial performance. While at Hewlett Packard served as Worldwide Director for Data Center Facilities and spent years overseas establishing HP’s consulting and engineering practice in South East Asia and China. Also served as the Lead for the HP Critical Facility Technology Council where overall worldwide responsibilities included:• Standards and Standardization• New Technology Assessment and Adoption• Interface with HP Labs• Modular Data Center DevelopmentFor the last four years was responsible for all of North and South America Critical Facilities that is focused on data center consulting and engineering services. The HP Data Center Facilities Group has planned and designed +65 million SF of data center space.
