Within my current role I am tasked with driving efficiencies and cost savings for non-communicating smart meters. I run a process from end to end to complete work with a 3rd party to stop unneeded revisits to customers properties. They complete the work by resetting the smart meter, this runs at a cost of £35 per visit as opposed to £250+ for a full.

I played a pivotal part in the integration of the smart meter alerts from SSE – OVO. I was able to drive 23 FTE saving across smart metering back office by increasing retries of activities within the headend system, using automation and removing any duplication of work between different teams. I also onboarded a second offshore partner to work back office.

I managed a team of 12 advisors onshore and 20 advisors offshore whilst constantly looking at ways to improve processes and drive efficiencies. I submitted 32 continuous improvements against a target of 18 over the 3 years. In total they saved over £1.8m. The biggest saving was over £500,000 per year by creating reports prior to site visits to ensure they.

In this role I was part of a team who booked jobs for engineers on behalf of advisors in General Enquires. I obtained 62 colleague recommendations during this time due to the excellent level of service delivered.
