Made changes to correctly report staffing in the new SAP organization and cost center structures. Resolved payroll, costing, inventory, and product consumption issues. Developed inventory procedures which reduced monthly variances reported for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Developed forecasted production scheduling which reduced Saturday and overtime production. Directed changes needed in SAP to set line times for all employees to eliminate punch-to-punch clocking, saving thousands of overtime dollars. These and other initiatives cut overtime by more than half. Served on the team to design and implement a no-fault absenteeism policy. Designed tracking spreadsheet to manage the system for over 1300 employees. The average daily absentee rate was reduced from 4% in July 2008 to 1.4% in February 2009.Managed the continuous improvement technicians working in the plant. These workers monitored production defects to control process wastes and yield losses. These initiatives helped increase the plant whole bird yield by 2.84% of total live pounds and debone breast yield by 1.21% of live pounds. Consistently placed in the top 25% of Agristats in Labor Cost, Line Efficiency, Yield, Value of Yield, and Birds per Man-hour as compared to industry case-ready and tray-pack plants. -

Developed procedures and reports for accurately scheduling production based on real-time production and inventory scanning. Successfully implemented the system allowing for distribution throughout the company. Reduced 2nd processing OT to less than 3% of total labor hours. Consistently placed in the top 25% of Agristats in plant labor cost. Served as the Interim First Processing Unit Manager. Managed three supervisors and 65 hourly employees.
