New technologies have certainly brought the cost and time to answer down by several orders of magnitude but the genomics revolution has only revealed how spectacularly complex molecular biology and genomics really is.There isn't a better time to be a part of the genomics era because it is just starting to gain momentum and with deep learning coming to bear on bioinformatic and molecular biology problems the pace is going to quicken. The challenge will be to support the coming change in the healthcare industry with solutions to make the world a healthier and safer place.
