I provide wise counsel to decision makers, sound judgement and operational application, informed by strong ethics and public service values. Very experienced in synthesising large amounts of complex and sensitive information whilst working with a range of people including senior clinicians, executives and board members, to develop and tell compelling corporate narratives. Writing the content, accompanying plans, literature, reports and other products for internal and external audiences.Public affairs is a particular strength and personal interest backed by broadcast experience as a BBC Political Editor as well as national and local TV, radio and print journalism. I’ve managed the communications and stakeholder engagement for some of the highest profile and controversial organisations and report publications of the last decade. Preparing the plans and the people, including media training executives, for the interviews and other presentations – internal and external - that follow. My conviction is that strength comes through seeking a diversity of opinion, critique and life experience, of all which contribute to and make the best organisations and teams greater than the sum of their parts.Work can be tough, the issues serious, the jeopardy sometimes great but there’s always room for a lightness of touch, a generosity of spirit and with the right support, most people will give of their best.
