I am interested in language in all forms. As a Master's student in linguistics, I learned about the structure, patterns, and phenomena of a wide variety of languages, including underrepresented indigenous languages such as Mixtec. As the editor-in-chief of the comedy newspaper Fish Rap Live, I gained experience with creative writing, communicating humor through writing, and providing commentary on events on campus, but also with editing for content, style and grammar. As a crossword constructor and editor, I gained familiarity with the senses and uses of a wide variety of words, as well as experience collaborating with an array of publications, tailoring puzzles and clues to each publication's style.
