Mr. Wyers’ career began with the installation of local area networks and point-of-sale solutions multiple indistries, including cloud based design, installation and support. Seeing the need for networking expertise, Southern DataComm hired Mr. Wyers in 1995 where he immediately provided solutions to their larger government, lodging, retail and service-oriented customers. When combining Mr. Wyers networking knowledge and SDC’s software product, SDC was able to provide a consolidated solution for organizations that had diverse point-of-sale systems as well as geographically disparate locations. In 2000, Mr. Wyers undertook the task as primary architect for the SDC Network Gateway Service (Payment Gateway). Mr. Wyers was successful at bringing two geographically redundant data centers from concept to production in less than 1 year. The final network design included complete failover capabilities, 24 x 7 staff, and monitoring systems to maintain the 500+ million transactions per year gateway.In addition to the extensive network knowledge that Mr. Wyers provides, there is always a focus on information security. Mr. Wyers has over 19+ years of consulting services to countless organizations and governments regarding securing credit card data. Aside from participating in dozens Level 1 assessments required by PCI-DSS, PCI-PED and PCI-PA, Mr. Wyers is also experienced with SOX, SAS 70, and ISO 27002. Mr. Wyers years of security experience are backed by several industry standard certifications, including CCSP (Cisco Certified Security Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information System Auditor). Mr Wyers is also a member of IEEE, ISC(2), Merchant Risk Council, and PCI Security Standards Council.Mr. Wyers interest is in advancing product and service offerings that focus on network-based solutions, as well as enhancing the company's overall information security platforms.
