While serving as a researcher at the affiliated hospital of the Beijing University of Traditional Medicine, Dr. Cai was inspired by the influx of modern medical technology. He sought to “take what works and discard what does not”, in order to integrate new models and technology into traditional medicine.After working with Dr. JiaSan yang, the Beijing University of Traditional Medicine department head and finding inspiration from physicians Dr. Arthur Weinstein and Dr. J.N. Wu during clinical trials at George Washington University, Dr. Cai developed Acutherapy℠. A new system for traditional therapy, incorporating modern processes and technologies. He began to apply it at his first private practice in Washington DC some 25 years ago. Since then Acutherapy Clinics has expanded to 2 continents and 5 cities.
