LanguageXpress has been around since 2006. I have first-hand experience of language barriers wreaking havoc when it comes to training, customers, safety, and the bottom line. There is only one fix to this; break the language barrier. We have been teaching many languages to individuals and organizations throughout the Las Vegas area and across the country. We have found a unique way to keep students engaged while increasing their retention level. To maximize the effectiveness of the learning experience we teach about the cultural aspect of the language. This includes the dancing, food, and holidays of the language you are learning about. To heighten the retention level we customize the curriculum for students within an organization to include the specific terminology and phrases that they encounter every day. This enables them to use what they have learned the first day after class by putting it right into practice.

Starting out working on a crew framing houses in 1999, I then moved up to running my own crew. I built numerous houses in the Las Vegas valley. I was promoted in 2001 into the estimating department; handling many accounts and responsibilities ranging from estimating, billing, ageing, contracts, ordering materials, P&L's, sales, and many other activities. I than became manager of the framing department in 2006; overseeing numerous account reps, estimators, and project managers within the framing department. I was involved in the implementation of Timberline and WMS. I gained allot of experience and knowledge with Selectbuild. Being a very fast paced and fast growing company, I have learned many different ways to handle all sorts of situations. Great experience.

MDR Builders is a custom home builder. They build 4 or 5 customs a year. MDR does every aspect of the structure accept the plumbing and electrical. Everything else from start to finish we were responsible for. I worked here as a laborer fresh out of High school. I quickly learned the workings of the company, and the multiple skills it took to be the lead carpenter of the crew. Being only 20 years old when I became lead was a very challenging experience. I still had a lot to learn, but the company thought that I had great team building skills, sense of detail, work ethic, and desire. With all of the rest of the team being 20 to 30 years older than myself; I had to respect their knowledge and experience at the same time portraying the company’s expectations and vision. We ended up forming a great team that rarely missed a deadline, and was always commended for our attention to detail.
