More than 26 years into his career, David Zugheri's resume highlights extensive experience from North American Mortgage, Irwin Mortgage, Envoy Mortgage (FKA First Houston Mortgage) and several private lending conduits. Named as one of the Top 100 Mortgage Executives in the country by Mortgage Executive Magazine for three years in a row, David has also has been on advisory councils to Countrywide Financial (at the time, the largest lender in America), Lenders One (the largest lenders cooperative in the nation), Equifax and the Texas Tech Rawls School of Business. Today, David invests privately and is an equity partner of Envoy Mortgage, a company he co-founded in 1997 and helped grow to a top 50 mortgage banking firm.At the time of his second designation by the Mortgage Bankers Association, it made him one of only ten mortgage professionals in the nation with both a CMB (Certified Mortgage Banker) and a CMT (Certified Mortgage Technologist) designation. With close ties to the press, David has been heavily quoted in National Mortgage News, Mortgage Banking Magazine, Mortgage Technology Magazine, Houston Chronicle, Business Week, Fortune, Houston Business Journal and American Banker. He has been a presenter at just about every Mortgage Bankers Association conference and has lobbied congress for mortgage reform on behalf of the National Alliance of Independent Mortgage Bankers and Community Mortgage Lenders of America. David was the architect behind the first completely paperless mortgage loan file originated in 2007. He has been a pioneer in certifying the integrity of loan manufacturing via third party verifications and offshore support for more than 20 years. As a means of giving back, Zugheri is an instructor at the Mortgage Bankers Association School of Mortgage Banking and has a scholarship at his alma mater, Texas Tech University bearing his family name.
