Experiential Impact Marketing + Development Specialist
CurrentGrowing up in Hollywood, as the daughter of a working actor, I was involved behind the scenes on numerous popular film and television productions. Although my educational background was in interior architecture and design, various life experiences, and a passion for people and our planet lead me to advocating for social causes and working with nonprofit organizations.Based in England for 20 years, I supervised marketing for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band, The Kinks, who have sold over 50 million albums. Supporting key members of the band, I participated in the process of music composition, music video production, merchandise design, business negotiations with record companies, publicists, lawyers and accountants, and general office management. While touring with the band, I became more aware of global situations that I could actively support, and make a positive impact using my skills and connections.Since returning to the US 15 years ago, I have specialized in facilitating cause marketing, helping to raise funds and awareness for various nonprofits. I have conceptualized and developed outreach programs, matching causes and companies with influencers, engaging their participation. I have organized and facilitated fundraising auctions of celebrity collectorsā items, āmeet and greetsā at concerts, and visits to the sets of popular TV shows and film productionsāall for worthy causes.Supporting Nobel Laureate Muhammad Yunus, Grameen America and Aerial Productions in launching the film "TO CATCH A DOLLAR: Muhammad Yunus Banks on America", I was responsible for arranging high profile key speakers for various special events. I coordinated celebrity PSA's about the film and managed its social action outreach campaign. I've built strategic partnerships with sponsors, influencers and nonprofits to promote and support issues touched upon in the film, such as: poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, micro-entrepreneurship, financial literacy and job creation.
