I visited Key West 5 years ago to attend Key West Sailing Academy and never left. After completion of several American Sailing Academy courses I decided the maritime industry was to be my new direction. I sold my car, bought a 41’ Morgan Out Island Sailboat, and started to integrate into Island and Ocean Life. I learned boats from the bottom up, starting out as a Commercial Diver and Fishing Mate, graduating to Sailing Deck Hand/Boat Bartender, Delivery Mate, Yacht Technician, and I most recently 50 Ton Masters Near Coastal Captains License. These past 5 years I’ve done nothing but live on, work on, learn about, and be a part of the sailing and maritime industry in the Key West community. I am still currently employed as a Yacht Technician and I am seeking a professional position, particularly one with a Captains role, with room for advancement. I have learned the industry from the bottom of the keel to the top of the mast, literally, and have 5 years of diverse experiences to back it up, not all of them great, but all of them real. I am compassionate, loyal, experienced, dedicated, educated, a problem solver, life long learner, and an asset to any team I’ve ever been a part of. I’m looking for a solid organization and crew that offers the same level of quality and passion to help contribute to a synergized and healthy work environment that’s a pleasure to be a part of.
