I am a pioneer of mindfulness based health intervention, and the developer of Gurmat psycho-spiritual therapy. My work and research has been focused on the healthy development of human potential & functionality through self discovery, self-actualization & self-empowerment. My experience in mindfulness & compassion-based teaching & intervention extend well over 25 years, including incorporating mindfulness within businesses, education and personal health sectors. I have successfully developed & delivered a range of innovative mindfulness-based programs for businesses, including the first mindfulness course ever to be offered through a UK university as far back as 1998 through Coventry University. As the founder and Chairman of Financial Services Net Limited (2000-2010), I successfully developed & implemented a “mindful-ethical-aware-sharing” business model benefiting the employees, business output and relationship with customers. In personal health my experience includes the application of mindfulness, compassion & transpersonal based approaches for terminal & chronic illness such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension in addition to pain management, anxiety, depression and "spiritual crisis".My research in Gurmat psycho-spiritual therapy has provided a holistic model for human health incorporating physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of human function by integrating conventional psychotherapy with authentic Gurmat & Buddhist psychological theory and practicesDMM.
