Results: Improve the quality metric of printed parts (x2) and launch a new material for the product every 4 months. I performed a Mechanical team integrator role where I guided my team, I was the visible face in front of the program, I defined processes collaborating with other teams within R&D, operations and supply chain, I carried out resource planning prioritizing tasks and, more importantly, I was aware of all the investigations carried out in the group to anticipate conflicts and making the right decisions to counterbalance the possible negative effects.  Led the stabilization phase of the new products on the market: understood customer problems, delegated them to the right people of the team (15 engineers) and responded quickly to the program with a solution. Also, I allocated the resources (technicians, equipment) where needed depending on priorities. Results: reduce team's response to program requests from 5 to 1-2 days. Definition and implementation of new processes and workflows:o Company strategic project with the scope to apply cost reduction activities with the aim to reduce the manufacturing cost of the product. Result: reduce product costs in 20%. o Deal with critical manufacturing deviations by triggering a technical assessment, notifying stakeholders and activating corrective actions. Result: enhanced reaction time by x3, eliminated the risk of quality escapes. o Implementation of a more agile procedures for developing the FRS (technical design documentation) and REV A (technical drawings) processes to officially generate the transfer knowledge from R&D to Operations.

 Product ownership with the responsibility to go from the concept idea to production passing through first prototypes, supplier iterations, qualification of manufacturing processes, follow-up on production and product validation on the field. Final design had to fulfill product specifications and industry regulations. Results: Launch a new product in 15 months with a failure rate of less than 4%. Product development with manufacturing responsibilities. Product developed in close contact with the purchasing team and suppliers to best fit the product to our requirements. I aligned different departments (engineers, purchasing and operations) for a new product launch. Also, I worked very close with the NPI team by defining the assembly process, the tools and control tests in the production line as well as establishing the critical KPIs. Once in production, I dealt with manufacturing deviations, analyzed production data and implemented corrective actions. Achieved due dates working on projects under a tight schedule and pressure on costs (very competitive sector). Worked closely with the procurement department and with global suppliers leading them through the milestones to reach the performance of the product needed.  Issued and presented on technical reviews full part related documentation (drawings, technical reports, knowledge transfer, etc.). Designed and developed innovative designs for the latest technology generating 3 filed patents and 3 published.  Provided product support and developed continuous upgrades on current products based on customer feedback. Led the cost reduction activities for the product. Planned and managed the scope of each project prioritizing them based on the savings provided. Results: Achieve a cost reduction of more than 5% considering only the design changes and 20% in total. Top management involved on reviews.
