-Developed, instigated, and facilitated the "For the Love of Basketball" Basketball court project for the local MAN 1 Pangandaran community.-Managed over 150 Indonesians as well as a limited budget of $700 to retrofit and restore an outdoor basketball court.-Wrote and gained the approval of a $700 grant in Bahasa Indonesia as well as English.-As a Peace Corps warden led 7 Peace Corps volunteers through fire safety training during a consolidation drill.-Interviewed volunteers' consolidation point manager in Indonesian to verify safety and security standards set by Peace Corps.-Taught and Improved the English and critical thinking abilities of over 400 Indonesian students, 3 local counterparts, and 2 local business owners.-Coached and trained 6 local students and 2 Indonesian counterparts to attend a 5-day youth leadership symposium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.-Facilitated bi-monthly discussions through the Tony Blair Foundation. 20 of my students shared their perspectives with other students from around the world in order to mutually improve one another's cultural awareness, identity, and sensitivity, garner respect for differences, and become global citizens.
