Devops Engineer
• Built, configured, and administered both self-managed and managed Kubernetes Clusters (EKS & Kops) while Implementing various deployment methodologies (blue-green & Canary) to deliver highly available and secure web applications. • Experience writing Docker files with multi-stage builds for lightweight containerization of applications. • Extensive experience in the use of Jenkins to build complex CI/CD pipelines and integration of pipeline components (Git, Maven, Sonarqube, Nexus, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform) for seamless automation. • Used Terraform in provisioning and configuring of infrastructure in AWS such as EKS, Fargate, VPC, Subnets, EC2, IAM, S3, EBS, and ELB, etc. • Experienced in creating and managing snapshots and golden images to facilitate backup recovery. • Wrote Ansible play-books for user-management, enable password-less authentication in multiple servers, and patching of servers. • Used S3 backend to save Terraform state-file and DynamoDB table as a locking mechanism to avoid infrastructure inconsistency. • Incorporated security policies and best practices at each phase of the CI/CD pipeline. • Configured and deployed Prometheus and Grafana via helm, and proactively engaged in monitoring of micro-service applications for enhanced availability and performance. • Engaged in requirement gathering and collaboration with developers, QA, scrum masters, and clients in making sure that deliverables are met within time and scope. • Managed multi-tier application and configured Route 53 to route traffic to backend application through Nginx Ingress Controller leveraging both host and path-based routing. • Deployed Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK stack) for log management. • Configured, and deployed .jar, .war, and ear Java artifacts to Apache Tomcat, and JBoss/Wildfly.
