Helped students understand the hardware they were working with, as well as fixed bugs that inevitably occur when working with hardware. Helped transition CPSC444 and CPSC222 to an online setting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Built a multi-threaded desktop applications accessible through either a graphical user interface or command line interface. Used the model-view-controller programming paradigm to have a single backend accessible to both interface methods. Incorporated a REST API into the existing application, allowing the desktop application to authenticate users, as well as update data automatically.

My project involved trying to understand how cultural evolution can be modelled as an agent-based simulation; this is an extremely challenging problem as it involves considering different layers of abstractions within the fields of anthropology, psychology, biology, and computer science.
