Work with agricultural producers/ranchers and conservation partners to facilitate, and coordinate, sound grassland conservation, primarily on grassland in the Flint Hills Ecoregion in Kansas. With a focus on offsetting woody encroachment in grassland and rangeland.

Work in partnership with Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism to improve private lands in the counties of Russell, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Ottawa, and Saline in Kansas. Perform and aid in duties such as Invasive tree removal, prescribed fires, various tractor work, conducting wildlife surveys, etc.

Responsible for development and implementation of a conservation plan to restore oak savanna and improve wildlife and woodland habitat on a 100-acre timber farm in Adair County, MO, utilizing timber stand improvement, prescribed fire, woody cover control, invasive species eradication and food plot development. Oversees daily running and maintenance of the farm and associated equipment. Maintain a working relationship with the Missouri Department of Conservation in the execution of the habitat management plans for the property.

Responsible for and oversee the management of the Truman State University Compost Project. Interact with the project’s professor advisor to coordinate the compost project requirements ensuring successful and smooth operation. Responsible for communicating with the heads of the dining halls on campus in resolving issues with the project and coordinating the pick-up of the compostable materials, aiding in interviewing potential new workers, managing and overseeing the student workers, and spreading knowledge of the Compost Project around campus.
