Aloha! I’m an award winning editor/photographer and am looking for some more things to do! The NBC/CBS news station Hawaii News Now hired me as a freelance photographer straight out of college in 2017. They then offered me a full time position as a Digital Content Producer in January of 2018. Since then, I have worked on various news stories and documentaries that have won me multiple awards. This year, myself alongside the rest of the station's digital team won the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow Award. In 2020, I was nominated for an Emmy for a documentary I filmed and edited called, ‘The Calling’: As TMT stalemate continues, those on both sides prepare for long fight. Also that year, I came in second for an Associated Press award for coverage on the Samoa Measles Outbreak in 2019. Alongside those accomplishments I have also won multiple Society of Professional Journalists awards. I am proficient at writing and using editing programs such as Edius, Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro. I also use the Adobe suite regularly, such as After Effects and Photoshop. Personally, I am a nice guy who likes to joke around a lot. I can talk about sports for hours, especially if you bring up the Golden State Warriors. I put my full effort into everything I do and am always wanting to learn more. Thank you for reading!
