I have focused my career on translational studies in the field of cancer immunotherapy. After completing my medical training in Peru, I started my oncology specialty at the Vall d’ Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. This clinical platform has provided the basis for my work as a co-investigator in designing clinical trials with early immunotherapies development and research studies. My interest in immunotherapy research motivated me to become part of Dr. Antoni Ribas’ lab in 2015 as a Postdoctoral Researcher. I have pursued training in both immunology research and patient care with the goal of effectively bringing cutting-edge technologies and promising new therapies to the patients and the clinical challenges back to the lab. My interest involves developing novel immunotherapies, with a particular interest in combination therapies to overcome immunotherapy resistance.
