-Worked independently and in team environments to fix and maintain wind turbines using a variety of pnuematic, hydraulic, and electric tools. -Used vibration analysis equipment to assess gearbox health. Used digital multimeters, hipot testers, oscilloscopes, voltage sources, and current sources to troubleshoot all aspects of wind turbine electrical systems. -Repaired hub pitch assemblies and nacelle yaw assemblies that included 3 phases induction motors, bearings, multiple stage planetary gear boxes, and electro-mechanical brakes. -Rebuilt, tested, and provided troubleshooting on pneumatic brake panels that included water separators, pressure regulators, check valves, directional control valves, and shuttle valves. -Fabricated and improved lab test stands and lab testing techniques for the wind turbine electrical components including printed circuit boards, solid state relays, overload relays, contactors, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers, digital/analog interface circuits, three phase servo controllers, and three phase servo motors. -Repaired circuit boards using diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot component failures, and replaced parts using appropriate soldering techniques. -Used my familiarity with OSHA standards and NFPA standards to wear proper ppe and perform lockout tagout procedures to work safely around mechanical drive trains and high voltage alternating current and direct current sources. -Used my knowledge of safe rigging practices and attention to detail to work safely around forklifts and cranes and during rigging jobs at 80-100 feet above the ground.
