The National Council on Aging (NCOA) believes that every person deserves to age well and that aging well should be a right, not a privilege. I serve as a high-visibility strategic partner that supports NCOA's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effective decision-making, project management, and execution of strategic initiatives across NCOA's business functions to accomplish this goal. I set and provide the organizational and communications framework for partners, staff and the Executive Leadership Team in implementing the CEO's vision. My work lives in the future and focuses on long-term planning and projects to ensure the growth of the organization and success of the CEO.

As Principal Consultant, I worked with organizations in the areas of scaling for growth and impact; strategic planning; performance optimization; project management; board governance; compliance; and coaching and developing leaders. I offered extensive experience in community engagement and mobilization; fund development and partnerships; building effective teams; and diversity, equity and inclusion in meeting the needs of clients.

Provided leadership in developing the organization's global diversity, equity and inclusion program, formulating and internal communications strategy, designing a post-pandemic return to office strategy for Headquarters, and providing consultation on governance matters relating to the Global Board of Directors.

Served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the National Bar Association (NBA), the oldest and largest organization representing the interests of lawyers, judges, law professors, students and paraprofessionals of African descent around the world. I directed operations and programs--including budget, finance, building management, contracting and procurement, communications, member services, professional development, external outreach, and coalition building with national and international civil rights and human rights organizations. In accomplishing the work of the organization, I liaised with a 60-member Board of Directors, 9 law divisions, 21 substantive law sections and 88 affiliate chapters.

Served successively as Chief Administrator in two AFT affiliate organizations-- the Florida Education Association and the Maryland Federation of Teachers. Directed statewide organizing and issue campaigns. Led a successful change efforts to drive staff performance and increase organization visibility and impact.

Collaborated with civil rights icon, the late Dorothy I. Height in growing Council membership and administering programs and day-to-day operations in the National Headquarters and field offices around the globe. Expertly negotiated major external partnerships and implemented programming to address education, health and economic disparities of girls and women. Collaborated with the Board of Directors to ensure programmatic excellence and relevance, and preservation of the Historic National Landmark Headquarters.
