Throughout my high school and college careers, I volunteered my time with Key Club and Alpha Phi Omega serving my community. From there, my love for helping others blossomed and when I graduated college with a bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminology, I decided to join AmeriCorps. After completing a service year with a local elementary school, I decided to move back to the community I was raised in and serve another AmeriCorps service year with a domestic violence agency, promoting healthy relationships amongst children and adults. I have worked in the dependency system and worked to receive my certification in case management. After moving home to provide care to a family member, I worked assisting students with extra help in scholastic learning. I have obtained my master's in social work and interned in a middle school while completing my schoolwork. At this time, I am working as a school social worker with pre-k through eighth graders, serving students of military families. I also recently began seeing seeing clients through telehealth as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am continuously looking for opportunities which allow me to grow in my profession and allow me to give back in some way.
