As an ambitious and motivated student, I am dedicated to leveraging my strong academic background and passion for business to excel in my future career. During the summer after my sophomore year of high school, three years ago, I created my lawn mowing and landscaping business with hopes of just making money. Looking back at where I started, I am very proud to say that I have also acquired many skills and strengths through my lawn mowing and landscaping experiences. With a solid foundation in operations, I am eager to contribute my creative problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a strong work ethic to the Kelley program. During the summer after my freshman year of high school, I worked for my stepfather's automatic and manual door company as an apprentice. I would have various tasks ranging from maintaining a clean and organized work area to installing hardware. Through my apprenticeship I learned the same skills and strengths as I did while running my lawnmowing and landscaping business. I am excited to apply my various skills, strengths, and achievements through extracurricular experiences to make a positive impact in Kelley School of Business while continuously seeking opportunities for growth and learning.
